A New Member's Experience at
New Birth North
After moving to Georgia I’ve visited a few churches, trying to find the right church (so to speak) where I could call home. Asking God is this the one for me? Is this where you want me to be? Not waiting on the Lord for His confirmation, is what we do sometimes moving ahead of God, trying to help Him out.
After deliberating with myself, I said “this is it,” or “that's the one.” I didn’t know that I was getting out of the will of God. I was caught up in the emotionalism of serving God or just having church. I was having a form of Godliness, but denying the power. But I felt the love and caring about my soul before I ever entered the church door at New Birth North.
I met a sister of New Birth North at a convenience store. Sister Marcia offered me to come by to fellowship. And after entering the sanctuary, I knew this was the place for me. No one looking at what I was wearing or how I was looking, knowing at that moment I had finally came home, and the members greeted me as though they knew this was where I was to be. This is something you have to come to New Birth North and experience for yourself, but some of you know what I mean.
Finally, I found a living organism, not an organization, a body of believers and not a business. This is a church where the pastor and the first lady believe that each person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship is sent by God, Himself. There are church members who are eager to know you, and excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church. So it's not by accident that we may have the opportunity and the joy of meeting you.
Where we are helping people to know, love & follow Jesus Christ.
