Pastor Robert C. Moore is the founder and senior pastor of New Birth-North, in Marietta, Georgia. New Birth-North is a church plant from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, in Lithonia, Georgia. New Birth-North is affiliated with New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and Bishop Eddie L. Long Ministries.
Pastor Moore is the second of four children, born in Seattle, Washington to the late Bishop Benjamin T. Moore & Dr. Willa M. Moore (Stone Mountain, GA.) Robert Moore spent his early childhood years in the Seattle area. He spent his teen years as the church organist & pianist, assisting with the music department, and also assisting in the printing department and outreach ministries at his father's church, The Bethel Christian Church (Seattle). In 1977, Robert relocated with his family to Indianapolis, Indiana after his father, the Late Bishop B.T. Moore was called to pastor Christ Temple Apostolic Church (Pentecostal Assemblies of the World).
While attending Indiana-Purdue Universities, he met the beautiful young, Raquel Allen (Richmond, Indiana) whom would later become his wife. The two were married in January of 1980.
Pastor and First Lady Moore's daughter, Leslie was born in 1981; and a son Robert Jr. was born to the happy couple in 1988.
During his 12 years in Indianapolis, Robert became part of the staff at Christ Temple. He served as the church organist and the director of various departments including the Music Department, Visitation Ministry, & Evangelism/Outreach Ministry.
In 1986, Robert graduated from Martin University (Indianapolis, IN) with a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Counseling. Later he was ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. He is currently a candidate for the Master of Divinity degree at Luther Rice University (Lithonia, GA).
After the death of his father in 1988, he relocated to Georgia, serving briefly as the church organist and school counselor at a Bethesda Cathedral, in Decatur, Georgia.
In 1991, Pastor Moore planted and led a small church in the Clarkston, Georgia area until 1994, when God directed him to submit himself and his ministry to the headship of Bishop Eddie L. Long at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. After completing the membership classes, Pastor Moore was assigned to serve in the Children's Church Ministry for a year. In 1996, Bishop Long ordained Pastor Moore as an Elder at New Birth. Pastor Moore joined the staff at New Birth in 1997 as the Assistant Minister of Pastoral Care.
In August 2000, while in a hotel room in Columbus, Georgia lying across the bed, Pastor Moore came to a tearful and painful resolution. Although he had been feeling God's call to pastor, if God desired for him to work in Pastoral Care for the rest of his life, he would do the best job that he could. Within two days of his decision to die to his vision, and be content where he was serving, he received word that Bishop wanted to plant him in a satellite church.
New Birth Kingdom Church in Marietta held its first service on Sunday, February 25, 2001 at the Little General Playhouse located at 2060 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30068.
